The Havasu Turkey Trot has once again moved starting locations. Don’t worry, it’s not heading back out to hilly SARA Park. It’s simply moving from Grand Island Park on the island to the Island Ballfield which is located directly across from the Marina Entrance on the island. So mark your calendars, mail in your registration form, and get ready for Lake Havasu’s oldest standing running event – the Havasu Turkey Trot 5k November 22nd at 9am.
Volunteering is FUN! And rewarding. And events couldn’t be put on without them.
Please sign up for the Havasu Hustlers Aid Station at the HIT’S Triathlon November 8th & 9th. This will be Aid Station #1 inside Crazy Horse. Shifts are as follows:
9am – 1pm
1pm – 5pm
5pm – 9pm
7am – 11am
9am – 1pm
To volunteer, click this link and choose Aid Station (Run) and your shift time. Saturday is when the full and half distance triathlon runners will really need encouragement and support; Sunday is the Sprint and Olympic distances; and who better to offer that than you!
Support the local Lake Havasu High School Boys and Girls Cross Country Program by participating in the 4th annual cross country fun run on September 20th. There is another “run” happening this same weekend so we urge you to support our local run club member Erika Washington and her cross country program. All proceeds help with their travel and other expenses.
This a fun course that completes two loops on the Bridgewater Golf Course. Race starts at 7am and has awards to top three finishers in each age group. Simply click this link to download the registration form with all the details or email Erika at email@example.com.
