Palo Verde.  There are several shorter or longer routes available for you to choose from.  Come out and join us. We’ll be running on the Havasu Half Marathon course.  After our run we’ll meet at Starbucks at 9:30am.  If you can’t make the run, then come join us for coffee. The Havasu Half Marathon is less than 2 months away.  For more information on the Havasu Half Marathon, go to www.havasuhalf.com.

Coach Ryan from the high school asked if anyone is available to help out at the home track meets.  He would greatly appreciate it.  Check the website for the complete schedule of dates and times.

This Tuesday / Thursday early morning run will meet at Chicago Title on Lake Havasu Ave.  Be there at 5:00am.

Tuesday trackworkout is at Thunderbolt middle school.   Meet at 5:00pm on the track.  If your schedule doesn’t allow you to make it to the track, then here’s the workout for this week.  Speed workout is a great way to increase your speed & lower your time in a race.  All runners are welcomed to join us.  No one has to do all or any of the workouts noted below.  It may or may not be right for you at this time.  You’re welcome to do your own workout on the track if you like.

  • ·      1 mile+ warm-up
  • ·      6 strides (strides on the straights of the track, jog the turn to the next one)
  • ·      (3) 1 mile repeats, done at half marathon pace.  Rest will be a 400m jog.
  • ·      1 mile+ warm down.

Tuesday / Thursday evening adult swim meets at 5:30pm at the Aquatic Center. If you haven’t tried swimming, now is the time to do it. This is a great way to learn proper swimming techniques or just improve your swimming ability with an instructor.

Join us Wednesday evening for a group run on the island at 5:30pm.  Meet in the parking lot at the football field.  Island loop is 3.67 miles.

This is the 1st Friday of the month, which means were meeting at ‘Wired’ for coffee at 8:00am.  Hope to see you there.

As always, Run Like You Mean It
