Come out to the island Tuesday morning for a refreshing lake swim. Turn right on Beachcomber past Crazy Horse campground and when you see the black semi trailer on your left, go right on the dirt road towards to water. Swim lasts about half hour.

Meet at the top of SARA Park for a fast ride 5.5 miles out to the scenic overlook. You can always extend your ride another 5 miles to Cattail Cove - just remember there's some good climbs on the way back!

Hill repeats are an excellent way for runners to build strength, improve their speed, and build their mental strength and confidence in hill running. Although hills come in all different lengths and degrees of incline, the basic concept of a hill repeat is usually the same. You run up the hill fast and then recover by jogging or walking down.

* Flagstaff MarathonFlagstaff Marathon

Time: 8:00 am

The "Coolest Marathon" in Arizona. All trails are 100% off-road with varying (single-track, cross-country, dirt roads) terrain. Elevation gains are approximately 2200 feet for the full marathon, 1100 feet for the half-marathon, and 450 feet for the 10Km loop. The course ranges from 8000 feet to 8600 feet above sea level. The marathon has been described as the most scenic and difficult marathon in the Southwest.
