I'm not Karen, but you know that...I did hear it's being planned and possibly an even longer distance. Need to do some checking.

Yep, I received an email from the Main Street Director - it's happening before the parade but other than that I don't have any more details. As soon as I do I'll post it!

I got the info - It's Saturday morning, October 17th at 8am. There will be three races - .5 mile kids race that runs from Smoketree and McCulloch down to the finish - almost Capri (Kmart/Library); 1.5 mile middle school race that starts at Acoma and Mulberry and runs to the finish and the 3 mile adult/high school race starts at Acoma around the loop at Wheeler park back up to Acoma and down to the finish. There was much confusion last year so I asked what time each race was starting and she didn't have the info for me. As soon as I know more, I will post.

Is this race a free for all? Is there a place to sign up? What's the fee? Is there a shirt?

it's not free - it was $20 before 10-10 and now it's $25. daytona middle school is putting it on and there will be registration the morning of the race in front of havasu's public library starting at 6:30 am. yes, there is a shirt.

It starts at the corner of Acoma and McCulloch. Last year it was VERY unorganized and I don't think it'll be much better this year so be prepared. There are three races total and when I asked when the 3 mile adult race starts, nobody knew. My guess is the kids 1/2 mile will start at 8, followed by the junior high 1.5 mile around 8:15, and our starting closer to 8:30. There will be a group of us leaving the Library at 7:30am for a 2 mile "warm-up" run to the start location if anyone wants to join us! Good luck - even if it's unorganized it's still a lot of fun running along the parade route. People are already sitting out cheering you on along the course.

OK, I know this is just a low key, fun run, but I'm getting excited to actually run in a race tomorrow. It's been since April since my last race and even though I am far from being in shape, I'm excited to get out there and see just how bad off I am. I hope to see many of you out there tomorrow. It will be fun.

I just wanted to say how much fun it was to see everyone before and after the race on Saturday. It was great to be able to run with you all again. Congratulations to all who ran and enjoyed the race.

It was great to see you out there too! By the way you ran, you would never even know you were injured. Glad you were able to make it and hope to see you at the Rcy Halloween Run!
