Greetings Fellow Hustlers;
I just got back from Henderson where I ran the Calico Racing Recycled 5K. What a great race. It started at Railroad Pass hotel and Casino and there is a fantastic multi-use path up there that runs along the railroad tracks (who would've known) with beautiful desert terrain and a great view of Vegas. I was the 3rd place overall female finisher in a time of 27:17 and finished 5th overall (male and female) out of 36 runners. Like Karen's race, I received a recycled race shirt (from calico racing), medal (from the run with the devil 2008) and 3rd place finisher plaque (from Running from an angel 5k) and they had great post race food. I was the only Havasuvian present so I did my best to represent.
I don't know if all are aware but I made a New Years Resolution for 2009 to run a race a month and so far (knock wood) have done just that.
