Last Saturday's race was about as good as you can ask for September in Arkansas.
70s, low humidity, just enough hills to keep it interesting.
5k in 27:44. That might not be fast for you all, but it's blisteringly fast for me, ha ha! 18 months ago when I finally broke 30 minutes I cried when I crossed the finish line.
5K Saturday afternoon on the agenda. I really need a good race, as there are only 3 left in our local racing series. Gotta admit I'm tired--that was race 16?? for the year-- and ready to just relax, do some half marathons (my favorite) and be done with the competition!
I keep telling myself to relax, no pressure, THIS race is only training for the next race.
Happy Running to ALL of you!!!!!!!!!
P.S. I WILL eventually head your direction for a half, and when I do, I'll let you all know! Never met a runner I didn't like.

Great to seen improvement. Good luck Saturday and let us know how you do. I'm getting where I like the 1/2 marathon better than the marathon. Sixteen races in a year no matter the distance is quite an undertaking. Congratulations.

Congratulations and I know many runners in our group that would be very happy with a time of 27:44 in the 5k! We would love to see you at the Havasu Half in April! :)
